Gabrielle Ahlstrom (Gaby)

I have been practicing yoga for over ten years. Born and raised in Chicago, I got through the bitter winters at my local bikram studio. An avid sailor, I found solace in the slower pace as well as strength training for my racing.

I moved to San Diego in January of 2023 and through my yoga practice found a community in which I could call home. Moving without a steady job and home was not something I intended on, but it was through my yoga practice that I found the strength and tenacity to make the city my own. Shortly after moving I enrolled in a 200 hour training that allowed me to grow through my practice, create lifelong friendships, and find my place in a new city.

I am mainly trained in vinyasa, bikram, and yin yoga, but love to create blended versions through viniyoga. I am able to teach on the fly and work with all abilities and bodies creating flows and sequences that fit the individual needs of each of my many students. I am currently enrolled in a 300 hour program that is finishing upu in the fall.

When not in the studio, you can find me by the water, in my art studio, cooking, and spending time with my cat.
