Erin Holmes

Yoga Instructor and Holistic Wellness Advocate

Erin Holmes has always had a love for movement, growing up with a passion for theater and dance. However, it wasn’t until her late twenties, after enduring severe injuries from multiple car accidents, that she discovered the transformative power of yoga. Yoga became not only a means of physical rehabilitation but also a holistic healing practice for her mind, body, and spirit.

In 2010, Erin completed her 200-hour teacher training at Core Power Rosecrans in San Diego, igniting a lifelong passion for yoga. She describes stepping onto her mat as "a hug from my favorite person," a space where she feels reset and grounded. Yoga allowed her to heal and move freely again, and she’s been grateful for the practice ever since.

In 2013, after undergoing back surgery, Erin took a year off from teaching. Her recovery journey incorporated a variety of healing modalities, including restorative yoga, sound healing, pool therapy, meditation, acupuncture, and Ayurvedic practices. These experiences inspired her to focus on spinal rehabilitation and restorative practices, leading to her 500-hour certification from Prana La Jolla in 2014.

Driven by her own healing journey, Erin designed the Eight Week Wellness Program for Oceanside Mental Health VA in 2015 and founded the non-profit I Journey Health in 2016. Both initiatives reflect her passion for helping others find health and balance through holistic wellness.

In 2019, Erin achieved the Guinness World Record for "Most Hot Yoga Classes in 30 Days," completing 63 hot yoga classes and teaching 23. Her continued commitment to education led her to become certified in Yoga Sculpt and Dharma Wheel Yoga, and upcoming teacher training in 2025. When she’s not on the mat, you’ll find Erin enjoying life on local farms, wineries, experimenting in the kitchen, or playing in her band, CKB.
